03/01/2018 Grateful for another round of visitors as the Ruiz's time at Childrens in Pittsburgh begins to come to an end!

03/03/2018 Heading back home to get the house ready for Jade's return, but had to make a pit-stop in Nebraska!

03/05/2018 Sweet Home Colorado!  Soon the family will all be back at home where they can begin the next phase of this journey.

03/13/2018 We are officially cleared to leave here on Saturday!! Of course things have to get a little crazy right before discharge. Jade has to get a feeding tube placed in her belly on Thursday. Our normal track was to have surgery this week, finish clinic next week and go home next weekend but after talking with the surgeon and our doctors all day they have decided enough was enough and that we needed to be at home.
They moved her surgery to Thursday, and are only admitting her for one night, then we will be released Friday. They cancelled our Monday clinic so on Saturday, we will cleaning out the apartment at the Ronald McDonald House, packing our bags, and heading home!

  • 03/19/2018  They are home! After what feels like a lifetime the Ruiz family is finally back in Colorado. They are excited to get back to their routine and start making the adjustments needed to maintain Jades quality of life. Brenda, Roge, and Jade are eternally grateful for all of the love and support they have recieved!
